The Escape Key Schools Packages
We offer a range of options for your school visit to The Escape Key, whether you are interested solely in the immersive escape room experiences or wish to have additional activities either at The Escape Key or at your school.
Our escape games are small team games, ideally played by teams of 5 to 7 players and last approximately 75 minutes including briefings.
The Escape Key can accommodate up to 30 students playing at one time across all four of our games and are suitable for school years 6 and above*. Prices start at £15 per person but can vary depending on the size of the group. We do not charge for accompanying staff members.
Please complete the enquiry form so that we can provide an accurate quote.
*Students below Year 9 (under 13s) must play the games with at least one adult.

BEHIND THE SCENES AT THE ESCAPE KEY
Typically students are buzzing with excitement when they've completed our escape rooms. We usually answer questions as part of the debrief but a more detailed behind the scenes tour can give the students a better understanding of how the games are set up.
The gamesmaster will walk the students through the game explaining how the different puzzles work and demonstrating how some of the electronic systems produce the desired effect.
This add on will typically take around 20 minutes and costs £25 per group

HISTORICAL GUIDED TOUR OF LOCAL AREA
The Escape Key is located in the historic Gallowgate area of Newcastle next to the city's oldest church, St Andrew's. Our Plague and Witch escape games are inspired by the true events from the churchyard where the town's biggest and busiest plague pit lies next to the unmarked graves of those executed for witchcraft. Either before or after playing the escape games, our staff can give you an informative and entertaining tour of the church and grounds. The tour also includes the largest stretch of the city walls (which have existed since the 1200s) and Blackfriars. The tour takes approximately 50 minutes.
