Our Answer: There is an assumption that all escape games are good for teambuilding because they are typically played by a group of four to six players. But every escape room is different, so teams cannot just assume rooms will include a range of diverse puzzle styles to challenge all skill sets.

Why Ask? Teams are made up of individuals with different attributes, skills and strengths. Some people can work things out in a logical manner, others are great at communicating, while some might be able to think more creatively. A good escape game will cater to the range of skills within a team.
In contrast, an escape room that solely focuses on one component, such as logic, will not be enjoyable for all groups. It is always worth asking about the range of puzzle styles, tasks and challenges, when planning team building activities.

At The Escape Key, groups are locked in their game for an hour, tasked with solving around 20 interlinked problems - some verbal, some numerical and some skill based. The puzzles are tough, the games are set in immersive atmospheres and it’s against the clock! When designing the games, we deliberately include a variety of tasks. There are tasks that require a logical approach and others that may need more creative solutions. Some will need good hand eye coordination and we always ensure that there are multi-player puzzles which need clear communication to solve.
Our games challenge multiple skill sets allowing everyone to contribute, giving them their moment to shine. With four games under the same roof The Escape Key can accommodate around 28 people playing at the same time. Whether you’re a small business or a large organisation, private or public sector The Escape Key can tailor a package that will give your organisation a fun and rewarding experience. If you are feeling competitive, we can set you off at the same time so all the teams can race each other with room difficulty, time taken and number of hints combining to give an overall score and a winning team!
