Ways To Save Money On An Escape Room

Searching for the right escape room can feel like a puzzle in itself.

Lots of tricky questions pop up along the way: What is the total price of an escape room? How much should an escape room cost per person? Are there any escape room

discounts available? Does the price of an escape room reflect the quality of the experience? 

Here at The Escape Key we’re here to help you figure out these answers. So you can save your brain power for when you’re actually inside. 

Most escape rooms will vary the price of their games depending on the team size, what day of the week it is, and the age of players. But why does this matter?

The price of your escape game will differ depending on the number of players. For a team of two playing on a Friday at the Escape Key, the price is £34 per person. But for a team of six to play on the same day it costs £22 per person. With more players the total price of the room increases but the price per person decreases. 

Okay, but why should you care about the day? Well, the price of an escape room also varies based on the peak business hours. Saturdays are typically the busiest; they’re our peak times at the Escape Key with the most expensive prices. Fridays and Sundays are Off-Peak times, so they're the cheaper days to book. But the days with the lowest prices are Wednesdays and Thursdays, with the Super Off-Peak discounts. 

However, there are still ways to save money on a Saturday. You can get 15% off by playing before 11AM! So make sure you set those morning alarms beforehand. 

So we’ve considered team size and what day of the week you book for, but what has age got to do with it? Here at the Escape Key, under 16s always get a 15% discount, no matter which day they play or how many people they play with.

Students, you can save money too. Just bring your student ID to save 10% on whatever day you book. For concessions (anyone who works for the NHS, military and all other Blue Light Card holders) you can save 7.5% when booking any room, on any day!

We also offer family saver discounts, for two adults and three under 16s. The perfect way to play with all the family.
